1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work Course

This new HSE approved qualification came into effect on the 1st October 2009, along with new guidance on assessing the needs of First Aid in your workplace.

Your risk assessment of First Aid needs may well identify the need for Emergency First Aider's, either as an addition to your First Aider's, or where the risk of your business is low, it may well identify them as being sufficient, without the need of additional First Aider's.

A certificate, valid for three years and recognised by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is awarded to candidates.

All teaching materials are provided by us.

1. Introduction to first aid
2. Care of the unconscious casualty
3. Resuscitation including CPR for adults (baby & child on request).
4. Shock
5. What to do if someone is choking
6. Asthma
7. Heart Attack
8. Epilepsy
9. Control of bleeding
10. Burns and scalds
11. Contents of first aid boxes and their use
12. Recording accidents and illnesses
